We’re currently seeking a Sr. Director of Business Technology. The Director serves as a subject matter expert for a service offering supporting RGPs’ external clients and internal business partners with the execution of a broad range of consulting initiatives. The Sr. Director will be responsible for Sales Support through Delivery, serving as the Engagement Leader for assigned client engagements. Partnering with the client development team, the Director actively supports business development efforts on behalf of RGP.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Pre-client Engagement Sales Support
  • In collaboration with the Revenue team, actively grow the business through strategic business development and/or networking activities within the client’s organization, meeting defined revenue contribution goals.
  • Co-leads sales and proposal cycle for strategic sales, as Engagement Leader, in partnership with other Consulting Leaders. Provides oversight to the development of SOW to insure RGP’s project governance principles are adhered to.
  • Technical advisor in all engagement phases, engaging appropriate Solution SME/Talent resources as needed.
  • Manage/provide oversight to engagement delivery, including team & deliverables, QA, and coaching and mentoring to the project team with the goal of increasing consultative behaviors and repeatable teaming across the Consulting space. In the capacity of engagement leader, ensure what is sold to clients is delivered, we provided the right level of solution knowledge, the client experienced value-add, and that future sales opportunities are identified/supported.
  • Demonstrate strengths in relationship management and project management. Able to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources; defuse tension among project team, should it arise; and bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity.
  • Serve as the client’s and internal team’s key contact for day-to-day operational aspects on all assigned projects. Maintain effective and appropriate communication with the client and project team, reporting on their progress towards specified deliverables and partnering with the client to identify and overcome obstacles.
  • Responsible for project governance and financials, including risk governance & QA, status reporting & escalation. May support with tracking and managing resource burn, milestone billing, and change requests for the project maintenance.
  • Capture and readout lessons learned and formalize project team performance feedback and share with the Delivery Team to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide thought leadership and project acceleration tools that drive value on client engagements and differentiate RGP’s solution from the market.
  • Collaborate with Consulting leadership and Talent to provide market and client insights that inform product development, positioning, pricing, etc. Ensure alignment, feedback loop & overall collaboration between Consulting and Talent stakeholders.

  • Increased account penetration and client satisfaction at RGP’s highest-priority/potential accounts. Create a client experience that builds RGP brand recognition as a leader in Project Consulting Services.
  • Data driven approach to understand markets/clients/buyers to develop appropriate strategies.
  • Ongoing feedback client/market data integrated into solutions development.

Qualification Requirements

  • Possess a high degree of expertise, certification preferred in several of these areas:
  • ERP Systems (SAP, ORACLE or Workday)
  • Software Selection and Contracting
  • Project and Program management
  • Digital Transformation and Roadmaps
  • Experience in Pharma, Manufacturing, Consumer Products or Energy
  • 6+ years’ experience in pre- or post-sale consulting or as a business professional, demonstrated technical project delivery and account management skills and experience.
  • 3+ years consultative or solution selling processes, and a demonstrated ability to effectively execute strategic plans.
  • Proven ability to develop full-scale project plans, white papers, RFPs and associated communications documents.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited institution is required
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
  • Some travel required

Base Pay Range $150,000-$190,000 

All compensation is commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.
